The Holiday Season

Since I'm writing about the festivities this time of year brings, I will forgo my signature pink type for green. :)

Once Fall hits it seems like the next three months fly by. First, we have Fall celebrations. Oktoberfest, different city festivals, ummm, I'm sure other areas have more things but this is all I can recall around me. This year Oktoberfest was sweaty as we went in the first part of October and in the South, that means high temps with humidity and a high chance of glistening all over your body.

After October we have my favorite month, November. I will admit I am biased since this is the month I blessed my parents with my birth. Jesus has December, I have November. After all, can't have two royal members in the same month. And for heavens sake no, I am not comparing myself to Jesus. Unless his last name is Perez, then I think I'm safe to do so.

November brings us my birthday which I do celebrate for the whole month. Veterans Day, is there and then we have Thanksgiving. Today my little lamb Gigi and I, she is my beloved Frenchie, went shopping to Home Goods, which is dog friendly. The parking lot was full and the stores in that same shopping center were too. I walk into the store and people are everywhere. This is Monday, go away. Only us non business employed should be out and that's usually me and some blue hairs. Gigi had a blast because she gets loved on by shoppers and employees. Frenchie's are a very social breed and love to be loved plus they're cute which makes them irresistible. Naturally, Christmas stuff was everywhere on every aisle and several specified aisles. I was ok with that. I actually went to find a large glass vase for my beach sand and sea shells. I picked up some cute signs and socks. I mean who doesn't need new holiday socks every year?

So after we stuff ourselves with turkey, then the Christmas onslaught begins. Since I work for myself now, this year I decided to get back to my tradition of having all my shopping done by October. Other than stocking stuffers my two human beloveds are all set. Gigi gets presents almost daily so I just need to get her some stocking treats as well. I did buy Santa jammies for my grand dog. Not sure if her Dad will use them but there we are. I actually purchased them for G but they were way too big. I either get too big or too small, there is no happy medium for me. About the only time I get it right is when I purchase in a store vs online. I bought for my close friends online so they are all set as well. Can you smell the accomplishment?

Thanksgiving Day in my area brings Christmas parades and or the lighting of the downtown tree. I use to take my boys when they were wee little lads, but now that they are adults with real jobs, I don't. Sometimes I will take Gigi. Because, why not? She likes a good tree lighting or a parade where again, people will fawn over her. Such a ho bag for attention. :)

I hope this wonderful season brings all of you the fun, love, and attention you want. May your days be merry and bright and your heart stay full with love as we deal with idiots on the road or at the checkout line. Kiss Kiss Hug Hug.....
